Jordan Watson’s body was found on Tuesday morning
An 18-year-old man has been arrested over the “savage and brutal” murder of 14-year-old boy found in Carlisle cemetery.
Jordan Watson’s body was found in Upperby Cemetery by a dog walker on Tuesday morning.
A post-mortem examination found he died from multiple wounds to the head and neck caused by a sharp implement.
Cumbria Police said the arrested man was from the Carlisle area and was known to Jordan.
Det Supt Andrew Slattery said officers working on the case had been shocked by the severity of the attack on the 14-year-old, who lived in Ridley Road in the city.
