Recently twitter has unlocked a World Cup feature that allows you to follow your teams progress by following timelines with the hash-tag followed by their chosen country code. There is also a World Cup timeline #WorldCup2014 where you can see World Cup related tweets from people in your network as well as relevant tweets about the tournament and your team.
