Cilla Black died at her holiday home in Estepona on the Costa del Sol
A post-mortem on singer and entertainer Cilla Black has failed to find a cause of death, reports from Spain suggest.
The late singer and entertainer died at her Spanish holiday home on Saturday, aged 72. Police say the indications point towards natural causes.
A spokeswoman for Andalucia’s high court of justice, which is overseeing the investigation, said an accident may have contributed to her death.
It is believed she was discovered on her balcony by her son.
BBC News correspondent Robert Hall – who is in the resort of Estepona where Black lived – said paramedics arrived at around 18:00 local time (17:00 BST) but were unable to save her.
A report in The Sun claimed Black may have become dizzy after walking from an air-conditioned room in to midday heat.
It quoted a source close to the investigation as saying medical examiners would look at marks on her arm and elbow that could be linked to a fall.
