DF Concerts wants to hold the music festival at the Strathallan estate on an annual basis
Councillors are set to make a decision on an application to host the T in the Park festival at the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire.
The development management committee meets to discuss the plans submitted by DF Concerts at 10:00 BST.
Local residents opposed to the move are expected to address the meeting, as are representatives of the event.
Planning bosses at the authority have recommended approval of the proposals, subject to a number of conditions.
Councillors will discuss a report from development quality manager Nick Brian, who recommends they give the green light to the event for the next three years.
During that period the impact of the festival on the area could be assessed in detail, informing a decision on its longer-term future.
The proposed move has been divisive in the local area, with more than 1,600 letters of objection sent to the authority citing concerns from local wildlife – in particular protected ospreys which nest at the site – to traffic management.
DF Concerts CEO Geoff Ellis said: “We’re confident the committee will recognise that all measures are in place to ensure a positive future for T in the Park at Strathallan Castle.”
