Simone Battle from girl group GRL
Simone Battle, a member of US pop group G.R.L, has died, aged 25.
Her death was confirmed in a joint statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records, and RCA Records.
It read: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.
“Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
The group were formed in 2013. There’s been no word from her bandmates.
G.R.L. are on course to enter the UK Chart top five with their single Ugly Heart.
