M25 car transporter fire causes ‘gridlock’

A fire in a car transporter carrying 10 vehicles on the M25 has caused severe rush-hour delays in north London and Hertfordshire.
London Fire Brigade said six fire engines and 30 firefighters were at the scene on the westbound M25 between junction 25 at Enfield and junction 24 at Potters Bar.
The fire started at about 07:30 BST.
It is now out but firefighters are urging motorists to avoid the area which is “gridlocked”.
