Energy firm Npower has confirmed it is cutting 2,400 jobs in the UK as it reported an annual loss of €137m (£106m), compared with €227m profit in 2014.
Npower’s German parent company RWE earlier announced a €637m (£493m) annual group loss, compared with a profit of €2.2bn a year earlier.
Npower lost 351,000, or more than 6%, of its UK energy customers in 2015.
It warned billing issues would lead to additional problems in 2016.
