The man was found on the building on Kew Road in Richmond
Police are investigating whether a man found dead on a roof in west London may have fallen from the undercarriage of a plane.
The man was found on a building on Kew Road, Richmond, at about 09:35 BST on Thursday. Officers said his death was being treated as unexplained.
Police had also been alerted to a suspected stowaway on a flight from Johannesburg to Heathrow at 08:20 BST.
The Met said it could not confirm if the two cases were linked.
However police said it was “one line of enquiry”.
The man found on a British Airways flight was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
He is aged between 25 and 30 and enquiries are ongoing to establish his identity, the Met said.
In a statement, British Airways said: “We are working with the Metropolitan Police and the authorities in Johannesburg to establish the facts surrounding this very rare case.”
A post-mortem examination will be carried out on the dead man.
