This week's Show and Tell is another awesome project shared by our 3D printing columnist Sean Charlesworth. Norm visits Sean while in New York to check out a beautiful 3D printed lightsaber hilt that was assembled from 14 individually printed pieces. The designer of this model also created a four-piece kit for ease of assembly–all the files are available online. With some proper finishing work, it looks as good as the original prop!

Jamie, Adam, Will, and Norm get transformed into adorable plush puppets! Stage prop fabricator and fan of the site Sean Harrington made these awesome blockhead puppets for us, utilizing some cool modern technology to streamline the design and build process. Sean walks us through how the puppets were 3D modeled and then prototyped with a laser cutter, allowing him to iterate on the design to change the look and puppeteering comfort of these flapping blockheads. We're smitten!
Thanks so much to Sean Harrington of 1Stage Productions for designing and making our puppets! Check out his work at http://www.1stage.com

At this year's Comic-Con, we threw our very first Tested party. It was called Incognito, and was a celebration of cosplay and popular culture. We brought down and set up all the costumes that Adam had worn at past Comic-Cons, and then unveiled the completed Hellboy Mecha-hand project for the first time in public. Hope you can join us the next time!

Read about how Adam's suit was made here: http://www.tested.com/art/makers/4634…
For Adam's second Incognito walk through Comic-Con (which was actually done before the Alien spacesuit), Adam donned his Mercury program spacesuit replica and explored the convention hall. His use of a polarized helmet visor shielded his identity, but fans still managed to pick him out in the cosplay crowd!
