A 14-year-old boy has been crowned this year’s Scalextric World Champion after fans of the classic slot car racing game took part in the final heats.
More than 200 people competed in six car 10 lap races around a 28ft (8.55m) circuit at simultaneous events held in Essex and West Sussex on Saturday.
Racers of all ages and experience tried their luck, but no-one could beat the best time of 2015, set by Ted Trim.
