Treat yourself to a double bill of chamber opera at its finest with The Corridor/The Cure at the Royal Opera House.
Both works focus on particular moments from well-known classical myths. In The Corridor, Orpheus leads his wife Eurydice from death into life; while in The Cure, sorceress Medea carries out her witchcraft to the elderly Aeson, the father of Jason, who is close to death.
This show, which celebrates the classic works by composer Harrison Birtwistle, is in collaboration with librettist David Harsent, who has set the score to an English language libretto.
