Top 5 Best NBA Players Ever
Top 5 Best NBA Players Ever. Basketball has a long history. The 5 players are the best to have ever played in the NBA. Would you agree?
5. Larry Bird
Larry entered the NBA one year late, after sitting out a year in college, and missed almost another full year in his prime with a foot injury. He was not a selfish shooter but just wanted to win and would get all of his teammate involved. He averaged over 10 rebounds per game for his career – not bad for someone who couldn't jump! He was both the first AND second player ever to shoot over 50% from the field AND over 90% from the line for a season! 3 NBA titles, 2 Finals MVPs, 3 reg. season MVPs.
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
We can try to say nice things about Jabbar but his accomplishments speak for themselves and they say plenty of nice things about Jabbar… All-time leading scorer in NBA history, most regular season MVP awards (six), 15 All-NBA selections, 11 All-Defense selections, 19 All-Star appearances. Why did we not rank him higher? 6 NBA titles, 2 Finals MVPs, 6 reg. season MVPs
3. Magic Johnson
Magic Johnson began his career with greatness and never looked back. He won Finals MVP as a rookie when he famously started center in place of the injured Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Game 6 of the 1980 NBA Finals. The Finals were like a second home to Magic and the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers, as they made nine trips during his illustrious career.
5 NBA titles, 3 Finals MVPs, 3 reg. season MVPs.
2. Bill Russel
Suprised? Upset maybe even? Defense counts and Bill Russel was the greatest defender the NBA has ever seen. Russell could flat-out dominate the game defensively. Still, his career averages are nothing to sniff at. Russell is one of the greatest winners in all of sports. His 11 championships may be the safest record in the NBA and he has 5 regular season MVP's to got with those…
1. Michael Jordan
If Jordan wanted to score nobody who ever played the game could stop him period! If he wanted to shut down any guard in the league, consider it done. In the 1988 season, he won MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and the NBA's scoring title. His insane '88 season went like this: 35 points on 53% shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 3.2 steals and 1.6 blocks. We expect Lebron to crack this list at some point but Jordan is out of sight for anyone playing the game right now. 6 NBA titles, 6 Finals MVPs, 5 reg. season MVPs…
