5. Mexicali Ripper
The multitude of female murders in Mexicali since 2008 have shown such remarkable similarities that officials now firmly believe that a serial killer, or possibly multiple serial killers, are actively targeting women in the city. Of those murdered, only two were not prostitutes or addicts. In some of the cases, the victims were dismembered, and their remains were dumped in desolate spots.

In the small town of Jennings, Louisiana, eight women were killed between 2005 and 2009 and none of their murders have been solved. One woman, 28-year-old Loretta Lynn Chaisson Lewis, was found in floating in a river and seven others were discovered across the swamps and interstates ditches around the small stretch of Southern land. 2. West Mesa murders
On February 2, 2009, a woman walking a dog found a human bone on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico metropolitan area, and reported it to police. As a result of the subsequent police investigation, authorities discovered the remains of 11 women and a fetus buried in the area. All the women were young; most were Hispanic. No suspects have been identified in the case and a serial killer is believed to be responsible.
