Immerse yourself in some classic fairytale magic as Peter Pan makes a dramatic return to the Royal Opera House in a family-friendly opera.
Produced by the Welsh National Opera and scored by leading composer Richard Ayres, this energetic adaptation of JM Barrie’s classic work revisits the anarchy, vibrancy and danger of the author’s original tale.
When Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up, transports Wendy Darling and her siblings to the magical world of Neverland they become involved in fantastical adventures, in which they find themselves battling sinister pirate, Captain Hook. Accompanied by the mischievous but well-meaning Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys gang, they must try to rescue the captured Tiger Lily before they can return to the realities of London.
Shunning the twee nature of previous adaptions, this mesmerising production whisks audiences away to a bizarre and dreamlike world where nothing is quite what it seems, as menace lurks just around the corner.
