Seann Walsh: Back From the Bed Show Blurb

Hello, Seann here. Did you know that comedians have to write their own blurb? I find that absolutely insane. What am I meant to say? “I’m fantastic, come and look at me talk”? I don’t know. It’s me. I do standup.

I guess I can start with the fact I renamed the tour. Sticking with Same Again?’ felt a bit triggering after the year we’ve had. So it is now called Back from the Bed. Some of the material will be the same as I had always planned and some of it will be new because it will be difficult to avoid mentioning the last year in which millions of decent people tragically lost their lives to TikTok.

The previous leg of this tour got a lot of standing ovations, which was pleasing. Either that or they were leaving early. Come along if you like me. I’d be confident enough to say come along if you’re on the fence. Cheers.

Seann ended a busy 2022 being a popular camp-mate on the recent I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. He recently won the Chortle Best Show award for Seann Walsh Is Dead: Happy Now in February 2023 and has a new podcast with Jack Dee, Oh my dog!, all about their relationships with their beloved dogs.

We are thrilled to welcome such a big name from the comedy world to The Mowlem. We hope Seann’s appearance will be the first of many great comedy nights, something we’ve been working hard on making a reality since our Community Consultation in 2020. We want to put The Mowlem firmly on the comedy venue mapsaid Thomas Curtis, Operations Manager at The Mowlem.

Age Guidance: Admittance is strictly 14+ due to likely swearing and adult content. No one under 14, even accompanied by an adult, will be permitted entry to the performance.

‘Unquestionably the best observational comic of his generation’ – The Guardian

‘his standup is richer than ever’ – 4 stars / The Guardian.
