Coventry orchestra raises funds for children in poverty

It’s time to shake off any winter blues and what better way to do it than with a rousing concert from Coventry’s own Heart of England Cooperative Concert orchestra.

This spring the orchestra will play a concert raising funds for Global Care. This international Christian children’s charity is at the forefront of tackling poverty worldwide.

Book the concert in your diary at 3pm on 18th March at Queens Road Baptist Church, Coventry. The programme will include Coventry Suite, Liberty Bell March, ‘Tonight’ from West Side Story, Strauss’s Aquarellen waltz, In the Hall of the Mountain King – and many more.

Now in its 105th year, the orchestra has been bringing music to Coventry since 1917, and is proudly sponsored by the Heart Of England Cooperative Society. The orchestra continued virtually through lockdowns and was overjoyed to come back together to play in 2021. Last year it raised over £2,000 for a variety of charities including local foodbanks and Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.

If you made a New Year’s resolution to dust off your instrument and get playing in 2023, why not contact the orchestra to see about coming along to a rehearsal? www.coventrycooporchestra.org.uk
